Academy of Dance Arts

In 1999, Sue Van Voorhis continued her dream of teaching dance and became the sole owner of her own studio which is how Academy of Dance Arts was born. She renovated a building located on 116th Street across from the Municipal building. After 6 incredible years, ADA grew so much it brought us to our current 7800-square foot facility on 121st Street. ADA is now over 20 years old and under new ownership. Rebecca Jones, who has taught at ADA for over 15 years is continuing Sue’s legacy of instilling joy and sharing the love of dance with her students.
