Experience storytelling through the power of dance! Heartland Film and Indy Dance Council have curated a shorts program centered around the art of movement.

🔸Armea – Rotuman artists work with their elders to create new ceremonies and renew and revitalize stories of land and ocean.

🔸Dreaming of You(th) – A new twist on celebrating age through music and dance.

🔸In My Skin (En Mi Piel) – Disability is no longer a limit, but a creative starting point.

🔸Epiphany – Indianapolis-based dancers from Expressenz Dance Center touch on themes of losing loved ones through the eyes of soldiers and a family member at home.

🔸Nicholas Brothers: Stormy Weather – In the 1940s, virtuoso tap dancers, the Nicholas Brothers, performed a dance routine so seminal, it prefigured hip-hop dance by three decades.

🔸Note of Defiance – A ballet dancer and a violinist use their art as a means of cultural survival and defiance amid continuing upheaval in Kharkiv, Ukraine.
